Former UU student reported missing
– We have ongoing contact with Swedish and international authorities, trying to locate where she could be, the police says.
Since the end of November no one has seen Romanian student Raluca. She came to Sweden during the summer of 2018 for a one year Masters course at Uppsala University and decided to stay in Uppsala when the course was finished. She was last seen November 30th in Uppsala.
The police confirm that her disappearance has been reported to them. Jonas Eronen, Press contact for Polisregion Mitt, says that the case is active. They are trying to find out where she is through internal investigation (inre spaning).
– This means that we have ongoing contact with Swedish and international authorities, trying to locate where she could be – if she has disappeared voluntarily or if something has happened to her. We are trying to find out if she has been in contact with anyone or if she has left any digital traces, says Jonas Eronen.
They have not arranged any search party yet since they don’t know where to start.
– We need to have more concrete leads pointing us to a certain area before we can initiate a search party.
